Pierce McClory

Pierce McClory has diverse work experience in various roles within the investment banking and legal industries. Pierce began their career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Redwood Capital, Inc. in 2008. From there, they worked as a Corporate Finance Intern at Canaccord Genuity Inc. in 2011, where they gained experience in natural resources, clean technology, luxury goods, and life sciences deals.

In 2012, McClory joined Han Kun Law Offices as an Assistant Researcher, where they assisted partners and associates in proofreading legal materials, conducting research for technology industry deals, and improving the firm's level of business English.

In 2014, they joined CVCapital投中資本 and served as an Associate, overseeing the cross-border team's gaming sector research and identification of target companies for recommendation to Chinese technology investors. Pierce also played vital roles in client origination, analysis, transaction structuring, due diligence, and closing requirements completion in cross-border M&A deals.

In 2018, McClory joined Boustead Securities as a Director in Investment Banking and later became a Managing Director in 2021. Their responsibilities included establishing standard operating procedures for due diligence and valuation analysis, conducting valuation analysis involving modeling and presentations to company senior management, and identifying and evaluating potential clients for services ranging from IPO to M&A.

Pierce McClory has a diverse educational background. In 2004, they attended the University of Cambridge, where they focused on Western Civilization as their major and English History as their minor. In 2009, they studied Mandarin Chinese at Beijing Language and Culture University. The following year, in 2010, Pierce continued their Mandarin Chinese studies at Tsinghua University. Pierce then pursued a dual degree in Political Science and Mandarin Chinese at the University of California, Berkeley, where they completed their BA in 2012. Currently, Pierce is enrolled at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where they are expected to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2024.
