Songul Atacan

Songul Atacan has a strong background in marketing and has held various senior positions in the renewable energy industry. Songul is currently serving as the Director of Global Marketing at Boviet Solar USA since May 2021. Previously, they worked at Clean Energy Associates (CEA) as the Director of Global Marketing from July 2016 to July 2017. Songul also worked at Canadian Solar Inc. as the Director of Marketing, Americas from January 2013 to March 2016, where they played a key role in expanding the company's customer base and entering new markets. Prior to that, they worked at Zep Solar as the Director of Marketing, Global from September 2011 to August 2012, where they helped the company expand into new markets and was part of the acquisition by Solar City. Songul's experience also includes working at Suntech as the Sr. Marketing Manager, EMEA from January 2009 to January 2011 and at Trina Solar as the Marketing Manager, North America from October 2007 to January 2009. Songul started their career at Open Energy Corporation as the Director of Marketing, North America from November 2004 to October 2007, where they played a key role in establishing the company's brand positioning and increasing the customer base.

Songul Atacan received their education at various institutions. Songul began their academic journey at The Art Institutes, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Advertising from 1999 to 2001. Following this, they attended UC San Diego, where they completed a Marketing Certificate in 2001. Songul then transferred to San Diego State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General studies, from 2001 to 2004.
