Nicolas de Maubeuge

Nicolas de Maubeuge has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Nicolas co-founded BoxCo in 2021, where they currently serve as the CTO. Prior to that, they worked at AnotherBrain from 2020 to 2021 as a Principal Engineer and Senior Embedded Systems Engineer. Before that, they were an Electrical Engineer at Motivo Engineering from 2019 to 2020. In 2018, they worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Kickmaker.

Nicolas also has experience as a freelance consultant, where they provided services as an Electrical and Software Engineering Consultant from 2017 to 2018. Nicolas has expertise in Internet of Things, Embedded devices, Automotive, and Aerospace. During their freelance work, they developed electrical architecture and firmware for a Bluetooth Low Energy consumer electronic device, designed software solutions for autonomous vehicle development and testing, designed system architecture for a racing drone, and architected a safety-critical automotive product.

Nicolas also worked at MOTIVO Engineering from 2016 to 2017 as an Electrical Engineer, where they designed electrical architectures and wire harnesses for autonomous vehicle retrofits, developed Motohawk controller firmwares, implemented Linux ROS navigation software, and programmed C firmware for a mission-critical airplane system.

Prior to that, Nicolas worked at the Machine Intelligence Laboratory in 2015, where their role focused on the design of a marine thrust control system for the lab's autonomous boat. Nicolas conducted motor calibration, implemented a thrust control software, and co-authored a publication.

Additionally, Nicolas gained engineering internship experience at CIFEC in 2014, where they interfaced a photo-metric water measurement device with proprietary software and designed an Ethernet centralization software and hardware solution for water pumps and chlorine meters.
