James Cotter

James Cotter is an experienced attorney with a focus on workers’ compensation, currently serving at Boxer+Gerson since September 2023. Previously, James held the position of Associate Partner at Mullen & Filippi, LLP, where responsibilities included managing workers’ compensation files and defending clients against various claims. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Partner and Associate Attorney at Finnegan Marks Theofel & Desmond, as well as roles in several other law firms, where tasks encompassed a wide range of legal practices. James began the legal career as a Law Clerk and also has a background in client services, managing accounts and advising on healthcare law compliance. James holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University.
