Greg Mayes

Greg Mayes, Jr. serves as General Counsel and Corporate Risk Manager at Boyd Company since November 2024. Previously, Greg held the position of Chief Counsel at Accelecom from September 2022 to November 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Assistant General Counsel at Louisville MSD, Corporate Legal Counsel at Big Rivers Electric Corporation, and Senior Associate positions at both Wilson Elser and Steptoe & Johnson PLLC. Greg began legal practice as an Associate Attorney at Phillips Parker Orberson & Arnett and Quintairos, Prieto, Wood, & Boyer, P.A., following a Law Clerk role at LG&E and KU Energy LLC. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Georgetown College.
