Darrel Metoyer has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Darrel started their career in 1989 as a Manager Intern at Piccadilly Restaurants. From there, they held various management positions including Assistant Manager and Production Manager.
In 1994, they joined Player's Riverboat Casino as a Food & Beverage Supervisor. Darrel then moved on to Coushatta Casino Resort in 1996 where they served as the Market Place Buffet Assistant Manager and later became the Market Place Buffet General Manager. Darrel also worked as the Roxy's Restaurant General Manager and Complex Restaurant Manager at Coushatta Casino Resort, where they were responsible for overseeing multiple departments and managing a large team of associates.
In 2002, Darrel joined Boyd Gaming as the Director of Food & Beverage Operations. Over the years, they held several director level positions including Director of Hotel Operations, Director of Hotel/Food & Beverage Operations, and currently, they serve as the Director of Operations.

Darrel Metoyer obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Louisiana Tech University in 2022. Additionally, they have received various certifications, including ServSafe Certified Proctor/Instruction in 2013, ServSafe in 2009, Food Management Professional in 2006, Food Management Professional-Certified Proctor in 2006, and Certified Food and Beverage Executive in 2002 from different institutions.
