Omar Guessous

National Director, Research, Evaluation & Insights at Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Omar Guessous has extensive experience in research, evaluation, and measurement within the field of youth development. From 2013 to 2016, they served as the Director of Evaluation & Measurement for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, where they implemented a comprehensive evaluation and quality improvement strategy across the organization. This involved establishing measurement systems to gather data on attendance, participation, member and parent experience, program quality, and youth outcomes. Since 2016, Omar has been the National Director of Research, Evaluation & Insights for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In this role, they lead a national evidence-building strategy, conducting and commissioning research and evaluation to support decision-making and demonstrate the impact of Boys & Girls Clubs programs.

Omar Guessous completed their education with a Master's degree in Community Psychology from Georgia State University, from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, between 1996 and 2000.
