Eugene Stipp

Eugene Stipp currently serves as the VP of Software and Platform Engineering at BP, overseeing global initiatives in Software and Platform Engineering across various sectors, including strategic growth areas to support BP's commitment to achieving net zero by 2050. Prior to BP, Eugene held senior engineering roles at Google, specifically as Sr Director of Engineering for Google Business Profile, where Eugene focused on enhancing business visibility on Google platforms. Eugene's experience also includes leadership positions at Schibsted Media Group, where Eugene managed an Advertising Engineering team, and at Yahoo, where Eugene led multiple engineering teams in mobile products and advertising solutions. Eugene's earlier career involved software engineering roles in companies such as Whereonearth, Reuters, and ABN AMRO Bank, complemented by a strong educational background in Mathematics and Computer Science from notable universities in South Africa.
