Jim MacDonald

Jim MacDonald is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead currently working at bp, where involvement in the Agentive project focuses on transforming industrial supply chains. With a robust background at Capgemini Engineering spanning nearly 16 years, Jim has honed skills as a backend developer and architect specializing in data-driven systems, utilizing diverse database technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL. Jim also has a strong academic foundation from the University of Warwick, where experience as a Teaching Assistant and Postdoctoral Research Assistant complemented a PhD in Mathematics. Additionally, Jim has developed a custom content management system for the Mathematics Institute and conducted teaching for various mathematics courses.
