Saad Abdul-Rassak is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in architecture and software engineering within the energy sector. Since January 2006, Saad has held various leadership roles at BP, currently serving as Vice President of Architecture and Engineering, responsible for the IT and digital development across Production & Operations and Business Services. Previous roles include Head of Strategy, Architecture and Planning for Downstream and Alternative Energy, Director accountable for Integrated Supply and Trading, and Chief Architect for various trading functions. Saad also contributed to VAKT Global Ltd as Lead Architect, focusing on blockchain solutions for trade processing. Saad holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Glasgow, an MSc in Telecommunications from the University of Surrey, and a BSc Honours in Physics from the University of Basrah.
