Britt Cass Steckman

Britt Steckman is a versatile trial and enforcement defense lawyer. In her civil litigation practice, Britt represents clients in a wide variety of industries in all stages of civil litigation, arbitrations, and administrative litigation, including appeals. She has represented clients in commercial disputes, litigation relating to large infrastructure projects, and disputes relating to fraud and other business torts, among others. In government enforcement matters, she represents individuals, broker-dealers, municipal advisors, municipal securities issuers, nationally recognized statistical rating organizations, and energy companies, among others. Britt defends these clients in enforcement actions by state and federal authorities; advises on compliance programs and related matters; and conducts internal investigations.

Britt is known for her deep attention to detail and ability to distil complex legal and factual issues for clients and fact-finders alike. She focuses on helping her clients solve their disputes while keeping their overall business objectives in mind.

As a pro bono lawyer, Britt has represented individuals in immigration matters. Britt is also a member of Bracewell’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
