Job Title: Sr. Back-End Developer

Duration: Full-Time

Location: Offices located New York City, NY / Remote

Job Summary:

The Brag House is looking for a skilled back-end developer that will work primarily on the server-side to produce a scalable mobile and web application. You will be a part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, focusing on deployment, automation, and testing/debugging. The consolidated back-end will be leveraged by the mobile application and website via APIs. You will be ​​working closely with our front-end engineers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience. General knowledge of front-end languages, frameworks, and libraries or full stack experience would be valuable. The team will be utilizing Agile methodologies to track development tasks and maintain visibility for business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Work with development teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to create and implement server-side software solutions

• Expand server-side architecture to scale client-side functionality and user experience

• Collaborate with front-end mobile and web developers to improve usability

• Develop scripts and automate release processes

• Assess and prioritize feature requests

• Perform root cause analysis for production errors (back-end and infrastructure)

• Continuously expand and improve existing architecture and data models

• Test and debug software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.

• Create security and data protection settings

• Write and maintain technical documentation, functional specifications, and guides

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as Back-End or Full Stack Developer

• Experience with DevOps processes and deployment automation

• Experience with AWS Infrastructure management and utilization

• Hands on experience with back-end languages (e.g. Python), databases (e.g. MySQL, RDS, DynamoDB), and frameworks (e.g. Django)

• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)

• Understanding of HTTP and REST API concepts, as well as integration with third party APIs

• Familiarity with various front-end languages, frameworks, and libraries (e.g. JavaScript, HTML/CSS, ReactJS, React Native, jQuery, GraphQL, Django)

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

• Great attention to detail

• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

Recommended Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field

• Experience with Git for project files, branch management and deployment processes

• Experience with ClickUp CRM is a plus
