Tiwa Lawal, P.Eng.

Tiwa Lawal has a strong background in project management and engineering. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Carleton University until 2015. From 2015 to 2016, they served as a Project Coordinator and Sustainability Analyst at SRS Consulting Engineers Inc. They then joined Johnson Controls as a Project Engineer I from 2017 to 2020, before being promoted to Project Engineer II from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Tiwa is working as a Client Project Manager at BrainBox AI since September 2021.

Tiwa Lawal completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering) with a specialization in Mathematics and Engineering (Applied Mechanics) at Queen's University from 2009 to 2013. Following this, Tiwa pursued a Master of Applied Science in Sustainable Energy at Carleton University, which was earned between 2013 and 2015. In 2020, Tiwa obtained a Credential of Readiness (CORE) from Harvard Business School Online, with a focus on Financial Accounting, Business Analytics, and Economics for Managers.

In addition to these educational achievements, Tiwa Lawal also acquired several certifications. This includes Learning Data Analytics from LinkedIn, obtained in July 2020, Professional Engineer certification from Professional Engineers Ontario, obtained in April 2020, and LEED AP BD+C (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional, Building Design and Construction) from USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council), obtained in March 2016.
