Samantha Hodes has a diverse work experience that spans across various organizations and roles. Samantha started their professional journey as an intern at the Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts in 2017, where they guided students in writing and producing original musicals. Samantha continued their work at Lovewell as an Assistant Director for the Junior Program in 2018, collaborating with musicians and writers to mentor young students in the creative process.

In 2019, Samantha joined the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum as a Museum Education Intern. During their time there, they spearheaded the relaunch of the "Afternoon ABC123" program, tailoring the curriculum to meet the needs of children from diverse backgrounds. Samantha also actively promoted play-based learning and encouraged parent-child interactions in the museum exhibits.

Returning to Lovewell in 2019, Samantha took on the role of Assistant Director for the Teen and Junior Programs. Their responsibilities included leading brainstorming activities, teaching story structure lessons, and facilitating scene and song-writing groups.

In 2020, Samantha joined BrainPOP as a Professional Learning and Educator Services Intern. Samantha then progressed to become an Educators Operations Coordinator, where they managed operations related to educators and their experiences with the company. Currently, Samantha holds the position of Community Engagement Associate at BrainPOP, where they actively engage with the community and strengthens partnerships.

Furthermore, Samantha had the opportunity to serve as the Programming Director for Jewett House at Vassar College in 2017. In this role, they oversaw a planning team and successfully organized campus-wide events by negotiating with local establishments and managing a budget efficiently.

Overall, Samantha Hodes has built a solid foundation of experience in various creative and educational roles, demonstrating their passion for arts education, curriculum development, and community engagement.

Samantha Hodes completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from Vassar College, where they attended from 2016 to 2020. In 2018, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at DIS, focusing on Child Development and Diversity. Although no specific degree was mentioned for their study abroad experience, it provided their with an opportunity to further develop their knowledge in that particular field.
