Yen-Chi C.

Yen-Chi C. has over 10 years of professional experience. From 2017 to present, they have been the Lead Data Scientist at Brandboom. Prior to that, they were Cofounder at AlgoLIFT from 2016 to 2017. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Senior Algorithm Engineer at DYSCI Inc., where they worked closely with clients on algorithm development and implementation, and gained experience in machine learning, data analysis, and statistical optimization. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Lecturer at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, where they taught Systems and Controls(MAE 171A) for UCLA summer school, and prepared material/lectures, homework/test assignments, and project design. From 2009 to 2015, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, where they developed an automated preclinical injection robot with the Crump institute. Lastly, from 2008 to 2009, they were a Hardware Engineer at HTC, where they gained experience in hardware design and system integration, and was in charge of cell phone structure design and production quality evaluations.

Yen-Chi C. began their educational journey in 2003 at National Taiwan University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering in 2007. They then attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2004-2005, though they did not earn a degree. From 2009-2012, Yen-Chi C. earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Systems and Controls from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2014.
