Kathleen Young

Kathleen Young has had a long and varied career. Kathleen began their career in 1995 as the Coordinator of the Language Based Program at South Middle Public School in Braintree, MA. The following year, they moved to Carroll School in Lincoln, MA, where they worked as a History Teacher. In 2001, they became the Academic Dean, Team Leader, and Teacher of 7th and 8th Grade World Geography at Bancroft School in Worcester, MA. Kathleen then moved to St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, MA in 2015, where they worked as the Initial Team Leader and Teacher of 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies. In 2019, they began working at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as the Initial Program Coordinator of Alternative Dispute Resolution. That same year, they also founded Aurora Lights Coaching. In 2020, they began working at HSG as a Conflict and Strategy Consultant. In 2021, they took on roles as a Family Mediator at Mediation Works Inc. and a Business Coach at Bravely. Finally, in 2022, they began working as a Coach at Robin.

Kathleen Young has a MA Special Education K-12 from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Political Science and Government from Boston College. Kathleen has also completed certifications from O'Sullivan Solutions (The S Questions Model, obtained in February 2022), the International Ombudsman Association (Foundations of Organizational Ombudsman Practice, obtained in December 2021), the Harvard Mediation Program (Harvard Mediation Program Certification, obtained in February 2019), Global Youth Justice (Global Youth Courts Certification, obtained in October 2018), Mediators Without Borders (Mediators Without Borders Certification, obtained in July 2016), MWI (Divorce and Family Mediation Training), and IAP Career College (Happiness Coach).
