Matt Phillips

Matt Phillips has over two decades of experience in legislative and governmental affairs, currently serving as the Deputy General Manager at the Brazos River Authority since September 2012. Previously, Phillips held the position of Legislative and Governmental Affairs Manager at the same organization. Prior to this, Phillips was the Director of Government Relations and Freshwater Protection for The Nature Conservancy's Texas Chapter from July 2010 to September 2012. Matt Phillips began their career at the Texas State Senator Steve Ogden's office as a Legislative Aide and also worked as the Assistant Committee Clerk for the Texas Senate Finance Committee. Educational qualifications include a degree from The University of Texas at Austin, where studies were completed from 1999 to 2002.
