J. Foster Davis has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles.
Starting in 2019, Davis co-founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer at BreachBits, a company that provides cyber risk scores for businesses. Their unique approach involves using AI and automation to attempt breach attempts and provide more realistic scores.

Their responsibilities included cyber, cryptology, and signals intelligence operations, as well as leading divisions, staff briefings, and reports. J. Foster served from 2007 to 2020.
At the United States Naval Academy, Davis held several positions, including Adjunct Professor, Instructor, Director of Strategic Communications, and Skipper of a sailing training craft. J. Foster taught courses on cybersecurity and advanced learning skills, developed course materials, and led marketing initiatives. J. Foster served at the academy from 2012 to 2014.
In 2003, Davis began their career as a Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy, completing a 4-year program that combined education and military training in preparation for commissioning as a Naval Officer in the Surface Warfare community.
In 2005, Davis interned at the DoD Inspector General, where they assisted in designing a database.

J. Foster Davis has a strong educational background in the field of technology and engineering. J. Foster earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Space Operations from the United States Naval Academy in 2007. Following that, they pursued further education at the Naval Postgraduate School, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Systems Technology in 2008. In 2012, they attended the same institution and completed a Space Systems Certificate, focusing on Military Space Systems Operations.
In terms of professional development, J. Foster Davis has also obtained additional certifications. J. Foster became a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) in November 2019 from EC-Council. Furthermore, they have pursued online courses to enhance their skills in computer software engineering. In 2016, they completed the iOS Developer Nanodegree program offered by Udacity. J. Foster also partially completed the React Nanodegree program from Udacity in 2020, specifically focusing on computer software engineering related to React.
