Sesheida (Sy) Young is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in education, community outreach, and the arts. Currently, Sesheida is part of the Harvard Business Analytics Program's 2021 cohort and serves as Chairwoman of The TraRon Center. Additionally, involvement includes roles as Convener for the Pan African Young Adult Network at Bread for the World and as a Young Ambassador for the International Black Women Public Policy Institute. As CEO and Instructor at Significant Others CPR, Sesheida delivers certified emergency response training. With a strong educational background, including a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from Howard University and a Bachelor of Music from Virginia State University, Sesheida also engages in community development through Powerful Beyond Measure and previously worked as a Case Manager at City Arts & Prep Public Charter School. Furthermore, contributions to the arts are evident as an entertainer and consultant, enhancing cultural initiatives as the DC Culture & Arts Director for The Poor Peoples Campaign Inc.
