Nicole Santos is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in various industries. Nicole currently works as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer at BreakPoint Labs, LLC. Before that, they worked as a Portfolio Management Analyst at Axcend, Inc. Prior to that, they spent five years at Troika Solutions as a Cost Analyst where they assisted with portfolio management for Headquarters Marine Corps, C4 DoD and coordinated outreach STEM initiatives. Nicole also worked as a mechanical engineer at VSE Corporation and GlaxoSmithKline, where they collaborated in the development of Army’s Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPs) generators and created a database of all the HVAC and water purification systems for the medical tablet production rooms and pharmaceutical production lines respectively. In addition, they conducted research on optimizing the use of biodegradable polymers in form fill and seal machines and performed individual research and analysis on Portable Barbed Tape Machine during their academic career.
Nicole Santos earned a Bachelor of Engineering BEng (Honors) in Innovation and Mechanical Engineering Design from the University of Bath in 2008. In 2017, they pursued a Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Additive Manufacturing at the University of Maryland, which they completed in 2021.
