James Blake

James is an Associate Director on the Catalyst team, where he focuses on driving investments in projects utilizing emerging climate technologies that reduce emissions.

Before joining Breakthrough Energy, James was a Vice President at LS Power. As part of the investment team at LS Power, James was responsible for executing acquisitions and project financings in energy infrastructure assets with a core focus on power, renewables, and the energy transition.

Prior to LS Power, James was at Macquarie Capital as part of the infrastructure & energy principal investing and investment banking teams. Before Macquarie Capital, he was part of the Project Finance team at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.

James received his BA in Finance and Economics from Bentley University.
