Shar Steed

Shar Steed has a diverse work experience in communications, marketing, and public relations. From 2023 to present, they have been working as the Communications Team Lead at Breck Inc. Prior to that, they served as the Communications and Membership Manager at the Council on Social Work Education from 2023 to 2023. From 2012 to 2023, they worked as a Senior Communications Specialist at the Computing Research Association, where they directed marketing and communications initiatives, managed brand identity, and provided editorial oversight. They also served as the Vice President of the DC Gamecocks - My Carolina Alumni Club of Washington D.C. from 2016 to 2017. In addition, Shar Steed has experience in marketing and communications roles at the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the National 4-H Council. They also have experience as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Florida State University, and as a Public Relations Intern at the Moore Consulting Group. They started their career as an Integrated Marketing Intern at the University of South Carolina.

Shar Steed completed a BA in Public Relations at the University of South Carolina from 2003 to 2007. Later, in 2007-2008, they pursued a Masters degree in Integrated Marketing Communication at Florida State University.
