Prof. Ahmed Fayed AlGebali

Prof. Ahmed Fayed has a diverse range of work experience in various organizations. In 2010, they joined Dubai Islamic Bank as the Group Chief Financial and Strategy Officer and served in this role until 2012. During the same period, they were also a Board Member at Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan Ltd. Prof. Ahmed then became a Senior Advisor to the Minister of Finance in the Arab Republic of Egypt in 2013.

In 2014, Prof. Fayed joined the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) as the Global Director, a position they held until 2017. In 2015, they also became a member of the Board of Trustees at the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) until 2017.

Prof. Fayed's academic experience includes being a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management from 2013 to 2022. In 2015, they also became an Adjunct Professor at IE Business School.

In 2019, Prof. Fayed co-founded BRED Token Limited, a company focused on revolutionizing the real estate industry using blockchain technology. Prof. Ahmed held the role of Co-founder and CFO until the present.

Starting in 2017, Prof. Fayed has been a Lead Assessor and Team Leader at the Dubai and Abu Dhabi Government Excellence Program, where they assess government entities based on excellence criteria.

Most recently, Prof. Fayed founded Desired Smiles Holding in 2022, where they serve as the Group Co-CEO.

Prof. Ahmed Fayed has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance from Ain Shams University. Prof. Ahmed also holds a Diploma of Education in Computer Science from AUC. Furthermore, they completed executive leadership programs at both The Wharton School and Harvard Business School. Prof. Fayed earned a Master of Science degree in Economics from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from The American International University in London. Prof. Ahmed obtained a Doctor's Degree in Alternative Finance from Henley Business School. Additionally, Prof. Fayed has obtained certifications including CPA from AICPA and CFM and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants.
