Shauna Laauwe, AICP, currently serves as a City Planner and Project Planner for the City of Brenham, focusing on development review, rezonings, platting, Board of Adjustments procedures, special uses, and managing the sign ordinance. Previous experience includes the role of Planner II for the City of Manhattan, Kansas, where responsibilities included liaising with the Board of Zoning Appeals and revamping the zoning ordinance into a Unified Development Code. In earlier roles, Laauwe was a Stormwater Manager & Planner for the City of Copperas Cove, prepared stormwater management plans, and served as a Senior Advisor for Family Readiness in the US Army, coordinating resources for over 500 military families. Laauwe's career also includes positions with the Cities of College Station and Manhattan, where foundational planning skills were developed. Laauwe holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Texas A&M University.
