Alice Clapman serves as Senior Counsel on the Voting Rights Team at the Brennan Center for Justice, focusing on litigation, policy advocacy, and communications to safeguard voting rights and elections since October 2022. Prior to this role, Alice was Senior Counsel at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where litigation efforts aimed to protect abortion and reproductive rights from May 2012 to October 2022. Additional experience includes serving as a Visiting Professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law, Teaching Fellow at Georgetown University Law Center, and Consultant for the Open Society Institute, along with fellowship roles at the ACLU Immigrants' Rights Project and as a Judicial Law Clerk for two U.S. District and Appeals Court judges. Alice Clapman holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Yale Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Princeton University.
