James Hays

James Hays, CPA, currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Brentwood Associates since January 2021, bringing extensive financial management experience. From 2009 to January 2021, James held key roles at St. Cloud Capital, first as Controller and then as Chief Financial Officer/Chief Compliance Officer, overseeing operations for private equity funds with over $450M in committed capital. Prior to that, James was a Supervising Senior Associate at Rothstein Kass from 2006 to April 2009, leading audits across various financial sectors, and served as a Supervising Associate at Meloni Hribal Tratner from 2004 to 2006, managing audits and tax preparations. James holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BBA in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.
