Steve Summers

Steve Summers has extensive work experience in the public sector, primarily in local government. Steve is currently serving as a Strategic Director for Brentwood Borough Council and Rochford District Council since April 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Brentwood Borough Council, including Chief Operating Officer and Head of Customer Services, from 2014 onwards. Before joining Brentwood Borough Council, they worked as a Project and Programme Manager at Basildon Borough Council from December 2013 to September 2014. Steve also served at Brentwood Borough Council as the Head of Business Improvement for a significant period from May 1995 to October 2013. Steve Summers started their career at Westminster City Council as a Senior Team Leader, where they worked from 1987 to 1995.

Steve Summers attended Chafford School from 1972 to 1979, but they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study during this time. Later, they enrolled at Anglia Ruskin University from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Knowledge Management.
