Christophe Poinssot

Christophe Poinssot is a prominent figure in the fields of science and industry, currently serving as Directeur Général Délégué et Directeur Scientifique at BRGM since November 2020, and as interim Président Directeur Général. In addition, Christophe holds leadership roles as Président and Vice-président of EuroGeoSurveys since January 2022, and is a member of the Scientific Council of IRD. Previous experience includes advising on nuclear matters at the French Embassy in China, and leading initiatives at PROMETIA to foster advancements in raw materials processing. A long tenure at CEA involved multiple high-level roles in mining, fuel recycling processes, and radiochemistry. Education credentials feature advanced degrees in Material Science and Earth Sciences, including a PhD from Pierre and Marie Curie University and an Habilitation in Chemistry from Université Paris-Saclay.
