Suzie Fischer

Suzie Fischer is the Vice President of University Relations at Briar Cliff University. Suzie has over twenty years of experience in marketing and communications, including seven years as the Marketing Communications Manager at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's.

During their time at UnityPoint, Suzie was responsible for leading internal communication efforts for over 1,400 employees, developing relationships with local and regional media outlets, and coordinating press conferences, media events, and special announcements. Her Public Relations efforts resulted in an average of $58k in free advertising per month.

Suzie is a certified Public Information Officer through the Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management with the Iowa Department of Public Health. In their current role at Briar Cliff University, they are responsible for overseeing all marketing and communications initiatives for the university.

Suzie Fischer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and a Minor in Advertising from Morningside University. Suzie also has a degree from Briar Cliff University.

They work with Pat Doody - VP, Mission & Leadership, Patrick Jacobson-Schulte - EVP & future Interim President, and Todd Knealing - VP, Academic & Student Affairs. Suzie Fischer reports to Rachelle Keck, University President.
