Matthew Grant

Partner, Managing Director, General Counsel at Bridge Investment Group

Matthew Grant serves as Partner and Managing Director, General Counsel for Bridge Investment Group. He has more than ten years of experience as a real estate investment management attorney with significant experience in private equity, REITs, corporate governance, capital markets and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to assuming his current role as General Counsel in January 2021, Matt served as Assistant General Counsel of Bridge beginning in June 2016. From March 2015 to June 2016, he was Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Secretary for ShopCore Properties (formerly Excel Trust, Inc.), a retail real estate investment management company, where he was responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, joint ventures and development matters and helped guide Excel’s transition from a publicly traded REIT to a private portfolio company owned by affiliates of The Blackstone Group Inc. From October 2011 to March 2015, he worked at Latham & Watkins LLP as an associate in the corporate group, where he advised public REITs, private equity fund sponsors and various other clients in a wide range of transactional and regulatory compliance matters.

Matt is a member of the California and Utah Bar Associations. He received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Utah, his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and his Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in finance.
