Michael J. Hurd

Vice President, Bridge Debt Strategies at Bridge Investment Group

Michael J. Hurd is the Vice President of Bridge Debt Strategies at Bridge Investment Group. Michael has over fifteen years of experience in the commercial mortgage industry, and has closed loans ranging in size from $2 million to $58 million.

Prior to joining Bridge Investment Group, Hurd was a Senior Underwriter at Morgan Stanley Mortgage Capital, where they opened the Mid-Atlantic area commercial mortgage banking operations. Michael was responsible for originating, underwriting, and assisting in the closing of permanent first mortgage loans for securitization (CMBS). In addition to their work at Morgan Stanley, Hurd has also assisted other offices with underwriting multi-asset portfolio loans, whole loan purchases and sales, and analyzing multi-billion dollar pools of CMBS for investment and hedging opportunities.

Hurd has a deep understanding of all aspects of the commercial mortgage process, from due diligence to loan closing. Michael is a skilled negotiator and has a proven track record of successful loan origination and securitization.

Michael J. Hurd received their Juris Doctor (JD) from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School in Real Estate and Finance. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from James Madison University in Finance and Economics.
