Wayne Clugston

Wayne Clugston has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Wayne co-founded Bridgepoint Education, Inc in 2004 and played a key role in the purchase of two regionally accredited universities. Prior to that, they owned College Leadership Consultants, Inc from 1987 to 2003. In 1983, they served as Vice President at Spring Arbor University, where they played a critical role in reversing an enrollment decline and pioneering a baccalaureate degree-completion program. Wayne also served as Assistant Vice President at Seattle Pacific University from 1975 to 1983, where they were responsible for annual fundraising activities and initiated a major donors' program. Before that, they were the Director of Development at Roberts Wesleyan College from 1972 to 1975, where they introduced a successful donors' organization. Wayne's earlier experience includes roles as an Assistant Professor of English at Monroe Community College, a Senior English Teacher at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI HIGH SCHOOL, a Senior English Teacher and Department Chair at MIMICO HIGH SCHOOL, a High School English Teacher at GORDON GRAYDON HIGH SCHOOL, and a High School English Teacher at FORT ERIE SECONDARY SCHOOL.

Wayne Clugston has an extensive education history. Wayne earned a High School Diploma from Thornbury High School in 1955. After that, they attended Roberts Wesleyan University from 1957 to 1961, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Wayne then pursued a Master of Arts degree in English from the University at Buffalo from 1964 to 1968. Later on, Wayne attended Seattle University, where they completed a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership between 1977 and 1980.
