Melissa Bautz, P.G., is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in mine subsidence investigations and abandoned mine reclamation. Currently serving as Project Geologist at Brierley Associates Corporation since March 2022, Melissa manages both field and office aspects of AML programs throughout the United States. Prior roles include Program Principal at the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality's Abandoned Mine Lands Division, overseeing reclamation projects, and Natural Resources Analyst within the Land Quality Division, focusing on mining operation inspections and permit reviews. Melissa's career also includes positions as Staff Geologist with the Bureau of Land Management and Harding Lawson Associates, contributing to geological mapping and contaminated site investigations. Melissa holds an MS in Geology from the University of Missouri and a BS in Geology from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
