George G. Karis

George G. Karis, CPA has extensive work experience in the field of taxation. George G. began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2002 as a Senior Associate and stayed with the company until 2007. Following that, they joined King Street Capital Management as a Tax Manager from October 2007 to May 2012. Since 2012, George has been associated with Brigade Capital Management, LP, where they initially served as a Tax Manager from June 2012 to December 2013. Subsequently, they were promoted to the position of Tax Director and held this role from January 2014 to December 2022. Currently, George holds the position of Managing Director and Head of Tax at Brigade Capital Management.

George G. Karis, CPA has a strong educational background, which includes multiple degrees in various fields of study. In 2001, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Drew University. Following this, they pursued a Masters of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from Rutgers Business School, which was completed in 2002. Later on, George G. Karis further enhanced their expertise by obtaining a Masters degree in Taxation from Baruch College in 2011.
