Marco Gomez-Wong has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Marco started their career as an Electrical Engineering Intern at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in 2013, and continued in the same role for the next two summers. In 2015, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at the same organization. In 2016, Marco joined the University of Virginia as a Head Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Computer Science. Marco held this position until 2018 while also completing an internship as an Electrical Engineering Intern at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in 2016. In 2017, Marco worked as a Database Architecture Summer Analyst at ITG. Marco then transitioned to a role as a Database Administrator at ITG from 2018 to 2019. Currently, Marco is working at Brigade Capital Management, LP as a Senior Software Engineer, having been promoted from Software Engineer, and previously served as a Junior Software Developer.
Marco Gomez-Wong completed their education at the University of Virginia from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Colonial Forge High School from 2010 to 2014. At Colonial Forge, they obtained an Advanced Studies Diploma and attended the Commonwealth Governor's School.
