Ethan Mackin

Vice President, Creative & Strategy at Brigade

Ethan Mackin has extensive experience in the creative and strategy field, with a focus on marketing and advertising for the entertainment industry.

Ethan currently holds the position of Vice President, Creative & Strategy at Brigade since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the VP, Executive Creative Director and Executive Creative Director at the same company. In these roles, they led the creative department and managed digital and social media marketing campaigns for various entertainment brands. Ethan also developed strategies, designed pitch decks, and presented them to clients.

Before joining Brigade, Ethan worked at Viacom as a Senior Creative from June 2017 to April 2018. During this time, they played a key role in creating promotional materials and digital content for MTV's TRL show, Catfish Season 7, and the 2017 Video Music Awards.

From January 2012 to May 2017, Ethan was an Associate Creative Director at Smithsonian Channel. In this position, they were responsible for managing promotions and packaging, ensuring a consistent visual identity across multiple platforms.

Prior to that, Ethan worked at Showtime Networks Inc. from January 2005 to December 2011. Ethan served as a Senior Art Director, overseeing the visual branding of the Showtime Sports brand and developing execution methods. Ethan also worked as a Designer/Animator, creating campaigns for Showtime's series, movies, and documentaries.

Ethan's career began at Charlex, where they worked as an Assistant Editor from January 2001 to January 2003.

Ethan Mackin began their education history in 1999 when they attended the University of Colorado Boulder to study Architecture. Ethan graduated in 2000 with a degree in that field. In 2013, Ethan enrolled at the Yale School of Management, where they earned a Certificate in Business Perspectives for Creative Leaders. In 2021, they attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business to participate in the LEAD Program. In addition to their formal education, Ethan obtained a certification in CS50's Computer Science for Business Professionals from edX in November 2020.
