Fernando Alfredo Castillo

Fernando Alfredo Castillo is a Partner at Brigard Urrutia. Fernando has been with the firm's mergers and acquisitions practice since 2007, advising national and foreign companies on local and cross-border acquisitions, as well as corporate issues.

Prior to their current role, Fernando was an Associate at Brigard Urrutia from September 2011 to August 2013. Fernando also served as a Contract Professor at Universidad del Rosario from July 2011 to July 2016.

Fernando began their career as Legal Counsel at Talisman Energy from September 2009 to August 2010. Fernando then went on to join Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates as a Visiting Attorney from September 2013 to September 2014, where they were a member of the Latin American practice of the Mergers and Acquisitions team.

Most recently, Fernando was a M&A Taxation Operations Professor at Universidad de los Andes from January 2017 to December 2018.

Fernando Alfredo Castillo has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University, a Master 2 Droit Privé Général from Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II), and is an Especialista en Derecho Contractual and Especialista en Derecho Financiero from Universidad del Rosario. Fernando is also an Abogado from Universidad del Rosario.
