Mahima Shah Verma has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as Editor In Chief of The Governance Post at The Hertie School in 2019. In 2020, they worked as a Marshalls Assistant at the British Consulate - General San Francisco and as a Campaign Fellow to California State Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris at the California State Assembly. In 2021, they held roles as an Immigration Legal Services Volunteer at Catholic Charities USA, a Congressional Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives, an Administrative Assistant at The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights, and a Legislative Assistant at the California Immigrant Policy Center. In 2022, they worked as a Student Volunteer Medical Surgery Unit at St. Mary's Medical Center and as a Social Media Community Manager at Bright Age Digital Creative Agency. In 2023, they were a Catering Assistant at Primal Alchemy Catering.
Mahima Shah Verma completed their Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Southern California in 2017. Mahima then went on to pursue a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs at the Hertie School, which they completed in 2020. Since 2017, they have also been studying European Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. In addition, they obtained a certificate in Children's Human Rights- An Interdisciplinary Introduction from the University of Geneva in May 2019, and is currently in the process of obtaining a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, which is expected to be completed in April 2022.
