Sarah Mattias has had a diverse and impressive work experience. Sarah began their career in 2015 as a Peer Health Educator for Peer Health Exchange and Research and Development Intern for Orange County Food Access Coalition. In 2016, they took on the role of Community Engaged Scholar for the West Oakland Environmental Indicators Project. In 2017, they became an Immigration Case Manager for the International Rescue Committee and Nonprofit Operations Associate for Bright Funds.
Sarah Mattias completed a B.A. in Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley between 2012 and 2016. Sarah then participated in a Spanish language immersion program at Universidad de Granada in 2015 and 2016. In 2016, they obtained a Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) certification from the International TEFL Academy. In 2019, they obtained a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. In 2020, they completed a B.S. in Nursing (Accelerated) from San Francisco State University and also obtained an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from SureFire CPR.
