Chris Ohrel has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Chris started their career at First Investors as a Customer Service Representative, providing detailed information and processing transactions for mutual fund accounts. Chris then advanced to become a Junior Correspondent, researching and responding to inquiries on behalf of the transfer agent.
Later, Ohrel joined MetLife and held various roles of increasing responsibility. Chris started as a Research Analyst, processing and correcting commissions and updating client accounts. Chris was then promoted to Supervisor, where they supervised payroll processing for two different Broker/Dealers and coached a team of employees.
Ohrel was further promoted to Manager, overseeing payroll processing for four different Broker/Dealers and managing vendor relationships. Lastly, they served as Registered Principal and Director of Business Initiatives and Operations, overseeing payroll processing for the Life and Annuity business and non-proprietary payroll processing. Chris supervised a team of employees and ensured adherence to enterprise benchmarks.
In 2016, Ohrel joined Brighthouse Financial as a Registered Principal and Director of Finance.
Chris Ohrel holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Education from Salisbury University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Series 24 and Series 7 through FINRA.
