Jagjiwan Virk

Jagjiwan Virk is currently the Director of Software Engineering at BrightInsight, where they are responsible for designing and developing the digital health platform with a focus on GDPR, user privacy, and HIPAA compliance. Jagjiwan also architects and designs microservices and delivers complex projects on the Google Cloud platform using HL7/FHIR standards.

Prior to their current role, Jagjiwan founded and served as CEO of eConnexis Inc., a company that provides a HIPAA compliant patient management and treatment automation platform for healthcare providers. Jagjiwan conceptualized the product, designed the software architecture, and successfully launched it.

Jagjiwan has also worked as a Senior Software Architect at Symantec and GuardianEdge Technologies, and as a Senior Software Engineer at Siemens and Voysys Corporation. At Siemens, they conceptualized, designed, and launched a Unified Communications cloud SDK solution, the first product of its kind to provide real-time call control via web services API. Jagjiwan also held positions as a Feature Owner, Component Owner, and Software Engineer during their time at Siemens.

Jagjiwan Virk has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategy & International Business from California State University - East Bay, completed in 2010. Jagjiwan also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electronics from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, completed from 1990 to 1992. In 2018, Jagjiwan enrolled in a course at Stanford University focusing on Artificial Intelligence: An Introduction to Neural Networks and Deep Learning. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in January 2019. Furthermore, Jagjiwan attended Stanford University to enhance their skills in Selling & Marketing SaaS to the Enterprise in 2010.
