Pete West

Pete West is a seasoned Green Party City Councillor for Brighton & Hove, with extensive experience in local governance since May 2007. Current roles include Green Spokesperson for Neighbourhoods, Inclusion, Communities & Equalities, and membership in the Environment, Transport & Sustainability Committee. Previous positions include Mayor of Brighton & Hove and Chair of various committees focused on environment and sustainability. Additionally, Pete serves on the South Downs National Park Authority, is a Director at the Brighton & Hove Wood Recycling Project, Chair of the Brighton & Hove Way Association, and President of the Brighton & Hove Sea Serpents Rugby Football Club. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Brighton.
