Bob Mckay

Bob McKay has a strong background in finance and leadership roles. Bob is currently the Group Chief Financial Officer at Bright since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at TIBCO as a Senior Finance Director and a Member of the Board of Directors from May 2021 to February 2023. Bob also served as the Finance Director EMEA & APAC from May 2019 to December 2020 at TIBCO. Before joining TIBCO, Bob worked at Microsoft for almost a decade, where they progressed from SMC Controller to Commercial Controller to Subsidiary CFO. At Microsoft, they were responsible for the finance function, strategic planning, reporting, and investment governance. Bob's earlier experience includes working at Danone as a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, where they led brand and customer profitability analysis initiatives and negotiated supply chain contracts. Bob also held various finance positions at BT, starting as Financial Accountant and progressing to Financial Planning Lead and Financial Controller. At BT, Bob was responsible for designing and delivering the business reporting pack and implementing margin-growing initiatives.

Bob McKay earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Dublin City University, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Following this, they pursued a Professional Qualification in ACCA at Dublin Business School, completing it from 1997 to 1999.
