Laura Murphy MCIPD has over 15 years of work experience in the field of human resources. Laura is currently serving as the Chief People Officer at Bright, a company formed by the merger of Thesaurus Software Ltd. and Relate Software Ltd. Laura joined Thesaurus Software Ltd. in 2013 and held the positions of Chief Human Resources Officer and HR Manager. Thesaurus Software is a leading provider of software solutions for SMEs in Ireland and the UK.
Prior to that, Laura worked at 3HR PLC from 2011 to 2013, where they served as a Manager of HR Services and HR Consultant. At 3HR PLC, they managed HR consultancy projects for global clients, including full HR outsourcing, corporate restructures, training development, and employee relations matters.
Before joining 3HR PLC, Laura worked as a Senior HR Advisor at the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) from 2010 to 2011, and as an HR Consultant at L&P Financial Trustees from 2009 to 2010.
Their career in HR began as an HR Assistant at PNC Financial Services Group in 2006, where they gained valuable experience before progressing to more senior roles.
Throughout their career, Laura has demonstrated expertise in various HR functions, including HR consulting, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR outsourcing. Laura is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD).
Laura Murphy MCIPD completed the CIPD Professional Assessment of Competence program at Reed Business School from 2011 to 2012. Prior to this, they obtained a degree in International Business and Languages from Dublin City University. Laura also holds a Certificate in Personnel Practice from the National College of Ireland. Laura's education also includes a focus on Employment Law at University College Dublin.
