Lauryn Dant LISW-S

Lauryn Dant LISW-S has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Currently, they are working at Brightside Health as a Mental Health Therapist. Prior to this, they owned and operated their own therapy practice called Dant Advocates, LLC, where they provided specialized support for caregivers of children who have experienced sexual abuse or engaged in maladaptive sexual behaviors. Lauryn also offered free educational opportunities and support groups through Dant Advocates.

Lauryn previously worked at Mindstrong as a Clinical Lead, where they supervised a team of therapists and provided crisis support to clients. Lauryn also worked as a Therapist III and Therapist II at the same organization, proactively engaging patients with mental health needs through a digital platform and providing therapeutic interventions.

Earlier in their career, they served as a Clinical Supervisor at the National Youth Advocate Program, overseeing emergency shelter and group care services. Lauryn also worked as an Independent Social Worker/Clinician at the Mount Carmel Crime and Trauma Assistance Program, providing trauma-informed counseling and education to victims, survivors, and co-survivors of crime and traumatic events.

Additionally, Lauryn has had roles as an Aftercare/Therapeutic Intervention Clinician at UMCH Family Services, an Admissions Counselor at Lake Bridge Behavioral Health System, a Tele-Assessor at Lake Bridge Behavioral Health System/Houston Medical Center, and a Program Clinician at HITTLE HOUSE LLC.

Throughout their career, Lauryn has gained extensive experience in therapy, crisis support, supervision, trauma-informed care, and working with diverse populations.

Lauryn Dant LISW-S earned a Bachelor's Degree from Mercer University in Gender Studies and Psychology in 2009. Lauryn then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Social Work at The Ohio State University from 2009 to 2011. Prior to their higher education, Lauryn completed their high school education at Westside High School from 2000 to 2005.

In addition to their academic achievements, Lauryn has obtained various certifications. Lauryn is a Certified Child & Youth Care Professional from the Child & Youth Care Certification Board. Lauryn is also a Certified Trauma Specialist from The National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children. Additionally, they have received EMDR Level I training from EMDR Consulting. Lastly, Lauryn is a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Supervisor, certified by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
