Theresa Walker, PHR, SHRM-SCP

Theresa Walker, PHR, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse work experience in human resources and business management. Theresa is currently working as a Senior Human Resources & Business Specialist at BrightView Technologies since May 2022. Prior to this, Theresa was the Manager at OL Walker Enterprise LLC from April 2012 onwards. Theresa also worked as a Human Resources Manager at Elevate Textiles from April 2021 to May 2022 and at Kayser-Roth Corporation from February 2020 to April 2021. Theresa has held the position of Vice President Human Resources at Lumbee River EMC (LREMC) from February 2015 to February 2019. Earlier, they were the Human Resources Director at the City of Lumberton from July 2014 to February 2015 and the Human Resources Manager at Tredegar Film Products from January 2006 to July 2014. In their roles, Theresa has demonstrated expertise in personnel management, policy development, strategic planning, employee relations, and legal compliance. Theresa has successfully implemented progressive disciplinary policies and has contributed to the growth and transformation of organizations by expanding operations and increasing the workforce.

Theresa Walker, PHR, SHRM-SCP, completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from North Carolina A&T State University between the years 1985 and 1989. In addition to their undergraduate education, Theresa has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2007, they obtained the Certified Facilitator certification from DDI | Development Dimensions International. In 2011, they earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute. Most recently, in 2020, Theresa obtained the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM. Furthermore, in 2015, they completed the Municipal Administration Certificate program offered by the UNC School of Government.
