Tyler Sammann

Tyler Sammann has worked in software engineering roles since 2010. Theirfirst job was as a Database Application Programming Intern at Schroth Systems Consulting in 2010. In 2011, they held an Internship - Interface, Sound, and Graphics Programming role at the Center For Communication, Cognition, and Culture (CCC). From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Yodle as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer, where they proposed, designed, and implemented an engineer recruiting site with unique coding puzzles and LinkedIn login, and created a custom reviews platform for clients. From 2018 to 2022, Tyler worked at BlackLocus as a Staff Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer II, where they lead a team of engineers focused on building a flexible product matching web application for the Home Depot catalog, and regularly trained and mentored engineers on best practices and design decisions. Tyler currently works at brightwheel as a Staff Software Engineer.

Tyler Sammann completed their Bachelor of Science in Electronic Arts and Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2013. Tyler then went on to complete their Master of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2013.
