Varun VOHRA

Varun Vohra has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Varun is currently the R&D Director (Printed Electronics) at Brilliant Matters starting from April 2022.

Prior to this, they worked in academia at The University of Electro-Communications. From March 2019 to February 2022, they held the position of Associate Professor, and from March 2014 to February 2019, they served as an Assistant Professor.

Before their academic career, Varun worked at JAIST (Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) starting from April 2011 to February 2014. Varun initially joined as a post-doctoral position (device scientist) in May 2010 and later became the Organic Photovoltaics Team Leader.

Varun's professional journey began as a PhD student at ISMac-CNR, where they worked on Nanotechnologies for opto electronic Devices with a specialization in hybrid organic/inorganic systems. Varun started in November 2006 and completed their PhD in August 2010.

Additionally, they completed a Master's Internship on sliding gels synthesis at LIPHT from March 2006 to September 2006 and an Internship in polymer chemistry at Rhodia from June 2005 to October 2005.

Varun Vohra completed their PhD in Materials Science from the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Material Science with a focus on Polymer Science at Université Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg I) from 2003 to 2006. During the same period, they also attended ECPM Ecole européenne de chimie polymères et matériaux de Strasbourg, although the degree name and field of study are not specified. Additionally, Varun obtained an Engineering Diploma in Polymer Science with a specialization in polymer chemistry from ECPM. The exact dates for this degree are not provided.
