Larissa Feng

Larissa Feng has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Larissa started their career as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia in 2014. After that, they worked as a Software Developer Intern at Demonware, where they developed and maintained server-side applications and provided support to game studios. In 2016, Larissa had internships at Microsoft as a Software Engineering Intern, where they led a team in a hybrid Scrum Master/Product Owner role, and at Shopify as a Software Developer Intern, where they implemented a significant portion of the internal rate card system for the Canada Post project. At Facebook, Larissa worked as a Production Engineering Intern, where they built a DNS DDoS attack mitigation pipeline and implemented a streaming algorithm for real-time response. Larissa then joined Wealthsimple in 2017 as a Software Developer, working on various Product/Platform teams and transitioning to a Junior Site Reliability Engineer role before becoming an Intermediate Infrastructure Platform Engineer. In 2022, Larissa took a Wellness Break to spend time with their family and pursue personal interests. Larissa is currently working as a Software Developer at Brilliant starting in 2023.

Larissa Feng attended The University of British Columbia from 2011 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science & Linguistics. In June 2020, they also completed the certification course "Cloud Computing Concepts, Part 1" through Coursera.
