Tom Whitnah

Tom Whitnah is a seasoned software engineer and technology leader with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as the Founding Principal Software Engineer at Brisk Teaching since February 2023, Tom previously held the position of Principal Software Engineer at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, contributing to the development of a learning platform integrated into 400 US schools. With a significant tenure at Meta from 2007 to 2017 as a Principal Software Engineer and Search Product Manager, Tom played a key role in various Facebook products. Prior experience includes senior software engineering roles at Yahoo! Inc. and SurfWax Inc., along with founding Vision Net Consulting. Tom holds a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University.
